As reported by WLTX.com, “[t]he Spartanburg Police Department said officers responded to the 300 block of Collins Avenue around 4:15 a.m. following reported gunfire. Officers said they found evidence of gunfire and a trail of blood, which led them to a seven-month-old baby who had been shot in the neck.”

Wistv.com is reporting, “[t]he police department reports preliminary information indicates that the infant and his mother were asleep when several unknown suspects fired multiple rounds into the home. The department said emergency medical services were immediately called to the scene. Despite the efforts the render aid, the infant was unresponsive and later pronounced deceased.”
