Gunfire erupted early Sunday morning, Oct 30, 2022 at a Columbus, OH gas station leaving one man dead.

As reported by WKBN.com, “[p]olice say that at 3:50 a.m. on Oct. 30, four men between the ages of 18 and 21 were in a vehicle driving near a [convenience] store and gas station at the 1400 block of North Cassady Avenue. The vehicle was hit by gunfire coming from the parking lot of the [gas station].”

10tv.com is reporting, “[t]he vehicle was hit by gunfire coming from the gas station’s parking lot and [the victim] was struck by a bullet.”

According to 10tv.com, “[the victim] was taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 4:17 p.m.” Police have charged one suspect with murder “in the death of 21-year-old Kevin Sobnosky.”

Gunfire erupted Thursday night, September 1, 2022 at an Akron, OH gas station leaving one man dead.

As reported by News5Cleveland.com, “[a]round 9:15 p.m. on September 1, there was a dispute between a different customer and a female cashier over incorrect change…During the encounter, the man reportedly made threats to kill her, began damaging the store and tried to grab her through a plexiglass divider.”

According to the report, “the female clerk fired one shot. The man who caused the commotion wasn’t hurt, but [the victim, an innocent bystander,] was shot in the head. At the time, he was just standing in line waiting to make a purchase.”

BeaconJournal.com is reporting, “Torres Bruster, 48, of Akron, was shot in the head in the store in the 800 block of Lovers Lane…He was transported to Summa Akron City Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at 2:07 a.m. Wednesday.” Per the report, “Bruster was on life support in a coma for a month and a half before he died.”
