A 37-year-old man was reportedly shot and injured during a robbery-home invasion at the Bonita Terrace apartment complex in Tuscaloosa Monday, January 2, 2017.

According to AL.com reports, the violent robbery-home invasion occurred at the “Bonita Terrace Apartments at 1300 Hargrove Road,” The victim’s girlfriend apparently told police “two men kicked in the back door.” Gunfire apparently erupted during the resulting struggle. The victim was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center with injuries.

Police have apparently since arrested at least one suspect in connection with the shooting. Charges include “first-degree burglary and first degree robbery.”

According to WNCT 9 News, the shooting occurred “after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the St. Johns Village Apartments.” Mr. Lawson-Moore was apparently “standing in the rear of the apartment complex when he was shot “in his left forearm” by two unknown assailants. Mr. Lawson-Moore was transported to UNC Lenoir for treatment. His current condition has not been released.
