North Charleston, SC – One woman was injured after a sexual assault at an apartment complex early Sunday morning, February 15, 2026.

As reported by Counton2.com, “North Charleston officers responded to Crossroads Drive around 3:30 a.m. and met with a victim who said she was leaving a friend’s apartment and walking to her Uber when a man approached her, grabbed her, and put her in a headlock.”

According to the report, “[the victim] said the man placed a shower cap over her head, struck her multiple times, and threatened to shoot her if she screamed.”

Live5News.com is reporting, “[a]fterward, he forcibly took her to an apartment, where she said he sexually assaulted her and threatened to shoot her if she screamed. The victim said [the suspect] struck her multiple times in the head and mouth, which caused visible injuries. She immediately called the police after he released her.”
