A shooting and robbery outside a south Charlotte apartment complex reportedly left Marino Lopez-Miranda critically injured Monday morning, July 24, 2017.

According to WSOC-TV 9, the shooting occurred in an apartment parking lot “in the 600 block of Archdale Drive,” around 5:00 a.m. Mr. Lopez-Miranda was apparently leaving for work when “two suspects robbed him and shot him in the back.”  He was transported to the hospital with “critical injuries.”

Police told WBTV 3, they are investigating whether this shooting is connected to a recent “string of robberies.”

A shooting outside a Houston convenience store reportedly claimed the life of an innocent bystander and left another injured Sunday morning, July 2, 2017.

According to KHOU News, gunfire erupted during an argument “in a parking lot on Buffalo Speeedway at West Fuqua,” around 12:30 a.m. The Houston Chronicle reports, a “bystander was shot in the chest and later died at the hospital.” A second victim was apparently transported to Memorial Hermann with a gunshot wound to the leg. His current condition has not been released.

According to NBC 4, Mr. Walker was “visiting a friend at an apartment complex on the 2500 block of Darel Drive” when gunfire broke out. Tragically, Mr. Walker suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

Police are apparently still searching for a suspect and motive, per WUSA 9 reports.
