According to AZ Central News, the deadly shooting occurred “just after 2 a.m. outside Hideaway Lounge, near Thomas Road and 32nd Street.” Mr. Saenz was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to critical injuries. The conditions and identities of the two other victims have not been released.

Deerfield Beach Officials Investigate “Public Nuisance” Nightclub in Wake of Shooting

A man was reportedly shot and seriously injured while exiting Club Tropicante in Deerfield Beach early Monday, May 15, 2017.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, the victim was shot “outside Club Tropicante” and transported to the hospital, where he underwent “surgery.” His current condition has not been released. The Sun-Sentinel investigation reveals “public nuisance” proceedings began against the nightclub in October 2015, based on an apparent history of criminal activity, “including six shootings, six assaults and one stabbing.”

Police are still searching for the gunman, per NBC 6 reports.
