TripAdvisor is reportedly making efforts to protect their customers through the release of new icons, which identify health, safety and discrimination concerns at hotels featured on their website. The warnings will apparently include hotels with a history of sexual assault.
The Daily Mail reports, badges “will be issued any time the company perceives a current issue as relayed by either users or the news media.” They will “remain on the site for up to three months, unless the issue persists.”
A Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report recently exposed the challenge survivors of hotel sexual assaults faced in sharing their allegations with other potential guests on social media. TripAdvisor policies had apparently prevented victims from warning other hotel guests as the language violated their “family-friendly” posting guidelines. The company has since released a public apology and launched the health, safety and discrimination badges in an effort to protect customers. However, the campaign has drawn some criticism. Many are questioning the short, three month time frame and the steps hotels have to take to remove the badge, per New York Times reports.

This unethical and unprofessional activity on the part of the lawyer is good sign that you should stay away. In fact, any such attorney should be immediately reported to the local State Bar Association.
