A man was seriously injured after a shooting at a Houston, Texas apartment complex late Sunday night, May 2, 2021.

As reported by FoxSanAntonio.com, “around 11 p.m. Sunday, they responded to…Apartments on the city’s west side. Once there, they found a man shot. Witnesses heard the shooting and looked out to see the victim lying in the parking lot.”

Click2Houston.com is reporting that the victim is “James Ortega.” Per the report, “[s]urveillance video released by Houston police shows the attack, as well as the white four-door sedan the gunman can be seen entering after shooting Ortega…One bullet pierced James Ortega’s abdomen and another shattered his elbow.”

According to the report, “[t]welve days later [Mr.] Ortega remained in ICU Thursday, recovering from the ambush that nearly killed him.”

The father opened the door and the two shooters pushed their way inside and forced him into a bedroom inside the apartment. Police said there was an exchange of words and then he was shot.”

Gunfire erupted at a Houston, TX apartment complex Wednesday evening, April 15, 2020, leaving one man dead.

As reported by HoustonChronicle.com, “[t]he man was found about 6 p.m. in a third-floor hallway at the apartment in the 800 block of S Texas 6.”

According to the report, “The suspects possibly fled in a white vehicle.”

The shooting investigation is ongoing.

A man was fatally injured after a shooting at a Houston, Texas apartment complex Wednesday night, January 15, 2020.

As reported by CHRON.com, “[o]fficers were called to the apartments in the 5600 block of Chimney Rock Road, just south of Westpark Drive, shortly after 9 p.m. to reports of a shooting.”

According to the report, “[the victim] had been shot in the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.”
