Oklahoma City, OK – Gunfire rang out at an apartment complex Sunday night, May 11, 2025, leaving one man dead.

As reported by KFOR.com, “[i]t was around 11:30 p.m. when police were called to [an] apartment complex just north of the intersection at NW 23rd Street and Portland Avenue.”

News9.com is reporting, “[w]hen officers arrived, they found the victim, Thomas Wade III, dead inside the apartment. Police say Wade had been inside with a woman and two children when someone knocked on the door around 11:30 p.m. According to investigators, when Wade opened the door, two men forced their way inside and opened fire. Wade was shot and killed. The woman and children were not harmed.”

The investigation is ongoing.
