Multiple deputies and emergency responders arrived to the scene near Melody Creek Lane, and the roads in the area were closed to traffic.”

According to the report, “[the driver] failed a field sobriety test, and he was arrested and brought to the Teton County Jail. A breath test at the jail showed a blood-alcohol level of 0.165.”

According to the report, “Abbott was transported by ground ambulance to Sunrise Hospital, where he was [unable to survive his injuries] despite advanced medical intervention.”
