Both men were transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with injuries. Their current conditions have not been released.

According to WSMV 4 News, ” the gunmen approached a man outside his Whispering Hills apartment on McMurray drive around 1 a.m. Monday and demanded his belongings.” The suspects apparently pistol whipped the victim and opened fire, striking him in the leg, before fleeing the scene. The victim was transported Vanderbilt University Medical Center with injuries.

Police have allegedly since made two arrests in connection with the violent robbery, per WKRN News reports.

According to KBAK News, gunfire erupted in the “parking lot…of the Martini’s Feel Good Lounge” shortly after 1:30 a.m. Tragically, Mr. Smith succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene. The conditions of the other four victims have not been released.
