According to WBTV News, gunfire erupted “in the 3500 block of Spanish Quarter Circle…around 8:13 p.m.” Tragically, Mr. Marquez succumbed to fatal injuries in the shooting.

Police are apparently now calling for the public’s help in identifying a suspect, per WSOC TV reports.

A shooting outside the Haverstock Hills apartment complex reportedly left 16-year-old bystander, Ty-bra Baptiste, critically injured Sunday, March 26, 2017.

According to KPRC 2 News, Miss Baptiste was outside with her 1-year-old cousin when gunfire erupted outside the “Haverstock Hills Apartments.” Heroically, Miss Baptiste attempted to flee with her young cousin when she was struck by the gunfire. She was transported to the hospital with “critical” injuries. Her current condition has not been released.

Miss Baptiste is apparently one of four victims of the deadly shooting. Congresswoman Shiela Jackson is now calling for tighter security at the Haverstock Hills complex, including “a new gate…new lighting and security cameras,” KHOU reports.

The apartment complex was reportedly the subject of another fatal shooting investigation in October 2013, per NBC 24 reports.

A shooting at a Greensboro apartment complex reportedly claimed the life of 17-year-old Rontaveon Montrice Porter and left another teen injured Monday night, March 20, 2017.

According to WFMY News 2, the shooting occurred outside the complex “at 2006 Niagara Street,” shortly after 8:30 p.m.

Mr. Porter and another young victim were apparently “in the parking lot with a group of about two dozen people” when gunfire erupted, per WRAL reports. Both teens were transported to the hospital, where Mr. Porter tragically succumbed to fatal injuries. The condition of the second victim has not been released.
