Proctor, WV News – A man tragically lost his life after a work related incident Sunday evening, May 11, 2025.
TheIntelligencer.net is reporting, “[a] Cameron man was killed on the job at [a chemical plant] in Proctor in a high-pressure water line explosion Sunday evening.”
WVMetroNews.com is reporting, “the victim was Steven Chambers, 44, of Cameron. He was on a ladder performing maintenance on a high-pressure water line at the [Chemical Plant] in Proctor. The sheriff said the high pressure line exploded and knocked him off the ladder 10 to 20 feet off the ground.”
According to the report, “Chambers was taken to a Wetzel County hospital where he was [unable to survive] injuries suffered in the fall.”
