Gunfire rang out at a Birmingham, AL nightclub early Monday morning, Sept 4, 2023, leaving two women dead and three others injured.

As reported by ABC3340.com, “[t]wo people are dead, and three others are injured after a shooting at a Birmingham nightclub early Monday morning.”

According to the report, “the initial shooting that injured all five victims happened in the 900 block of 5th Avenue North at [a restaurant and lounge]. Police said the shooting is believed to have been a targeted attack, but added that most of the victims were innocent bystanders.”

WVTM13.com is reporting, “Markiezia Deactrius Atkins, 24, and Chaveda Arreaiia Willis, 33, died at UAB Hospital.”

The shooting remains under investigation.
