Groveton, VA – Gunfire rang out at an apartment complex late Saturday morning, September 12, 2026, leaving one man injured.

As reported by FFXnow.com, “[o]fficers were dispatched to the 3500 block of Robert E. Lee Place at 10:25 a.m. on Sept. 12 for the reported shooting, which left an adult man with multiple gunshot wounds.”

Fox5DC.com is reporting, “[a] preliminary investigation revealed that the man was driving through an apartment complex parking lot when a suspect approached on foot and fired multiple rounds into the driver’s side of the car.

According to the report, “[t]he victim was taken to a local hospital in life-threatening condition. He was initially listed in critical condition. On Tuesday, police said he was stable and recovering from serious injuries..”
