NW Miami-Dade, FL Convenience Store Shooting Claims One Life, Injures Two Others. (

Gunfire erupted early Friday morning, January 8, 2021 at a Miami, FL convenience store leaving one person killed and two others injured.

As reported by, “Miami-Dade police said around 12:30 a.m. they received a ShotSpotter alert about gunfire in the area of NW 18th Avenue and NW 66th Street.” is reporting, “[w]hen officers arrived, they found two shot men. One of them died before fire-rescue arrived…[t]he other man was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center.”

According to the report, “[a] short while later, officers…were notified that someone had driven to North Shore Hospital with a gunshot wound and was transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition. Investigators believe that person was also involved in the shooting.”

The investigation is ongoing.
